For that we go our blog site and go to layout option
                             

Click Add a Gadget of your chose, than a new window open .
                    

Then click on HTML/JavaScript. Then a new page open.
                    

Now go the hit counter site and copy a code one of them.
                    

After that past the code in the HTML/JavaScript page. After that give a title and click "Save" for that it published to our blog.


Now see your blog. A hit counter comes and it started counting.

 

In this way you set a hit counter in your site or blog.
